Navigating early menopause, especially before the age of 40, can be challenging when you’re not prepared. Here are some strategies and products that helped me manage various symptoms:
When my hot flashes were mild, I used flaxseed oil vitamins, which are dietary supplements derived from the seeds of the flax plant, rich in omega-3 fatty acids and lignans. However, when the hot flashes became too intense, I turned to Estroven, an over-the-counter supplement designed to provide relief from menopause symptoms, including hot flashes and night sweats.
To address weight gain, I used Berberine, a bioactive compound extracted from various plants that may help regulate blood sugar levels and support weight management. In addition, I exercised three times a week or more, increased my water intake using an insulated 64 oz water bottle, and maintained a balanced diet.
For my rashes, I relied on CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar, CeraVe Healing Ointment, and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream to soothe and hydrate my skin.
To manage anxiety, I combined journaling, using the Calm app for meditation, and praying. I also used Magnesium Glycinate, which I took two hours before bed to help with sleepless nights. Additionally, a cooling blanket, mini fan for my nightstand and the Calm app for soothing sounds were beneficial.
To combat joint pain, I focused on regular workouts and stretching. I invested in high-quality running shoes, specifically Hoka Clifton 9s, and attended Pilates classes one to two times a week.
